Community Leadership
Mark Rinne has called Cheyenne and Laramie County home for decades. Since moving here in 1977, he has built a life, raised a family, operated a local dental practice, and served the community through business, education, local boards, and public office.
Mark believes Wyoming’s future depends on practical solutions, strong local leadership, and a willingness to work with people to solve real problems. From housing and economic development to supporting essential professionals and strengthening communities, Mark is focused on what matters most to the people of Senate District 7.
About Mark
Mark Rinne has been part of the Cheyenne business community for more than 45 years and has operated his dental practice since 1987. He has served on local boards, worked with LCCC as both an instructor and board member, and supported organizations dedicated to making Cheyenne a stronger place to live.
Mark was first elected to the Cheyenne City Council in 1988 and later returned to public service in 2006. Since then, he has served alongside multiple mayors and dozens of council members, earning the trust of his peers and being elected Council President multiple times.
Mark and his wife have deep roots in the region. Their children graduated from Cheyenne public schools, and two of them are now co-owners of businesses in the community. For Mark, Senate District 7 is not just where he serves — it is home.
Focused On What Matters Most:
Mark believes people who want to live in Cheyenne and Laramie County should be able to find a home they can afford, and those already here should be able to stay in their homes. He supports cutting unnecessary barriers and encouraging practical local solutions.
Wyoming should support its legacy industries while helping communities grow and diversify. Mark is focused on creating good jobs, attracting essential professionals, and investing in the amenities that make people want to live and work here.
Mark believes the best solutions often come from the people closest to the problem. He supports giving communities the flexibility to address local needs instead of relying on one-size-fits-all mandates.
With decades of experience in business, education, local boards, and city government, Mark understands that progress comes from listening, collaborating, and staying focused on the people being served.
Mark supports strengthening the connection between education, workforce training, and local opportunity so Wyoming can attract and keep doctors, teachers, business owners, and skilled professionals.
